Is pin 6 on the m92t36 input to the chip or is that voltage being provided by the chip? And if that circuit isn't shorted what could be causing it to be at 0 volts with battery attached and plugged in?

Pin 6 is 3v3 input to M92T36 supplied by the 3v3 rail from the dc-dc converter situated just above the audio ic.

Above the audio IC ? Did you mean by power IC? Or I am wrong. Where is the DC Converter situated?

Im also interested in that.Coz I just swapped out this chip and pin6 worked on and off till it stopped working at all

Sorry I was looking for a qfn chip.

that can't cause a 0 amp charging condition can it?

If u have no power on pin 6 u will have no charginh

@Pintglass Sorry but the chip above audio IC (depending of board orientation ;) )is identify as DAC + stereo headphone amplifier and not a DC/DC converter.

I think that was originally posted by @FXDX I'm not sure whether it was identified by himself or someone else but if you look at the datasheet for the TC94B15 its a different size and the components for that ic do not correlate to whats around the ic on the board so I'm sorry but this has been misidentified.

So if I hit the power button I get 3.5 volts on pin 6. But I get no voltage from the Nintendo charger. I get roughly 5 volts on pin 1 of the bq24193 (aka bbq chip in my house) chip with an aftermarket charger...

The Nintendo charger works fine with my other switches so it must see a fault and stop pushing voltage. This is the same with the connector flipped either way. The Nintendo charger does not supply voltage to the board at all. Not even before the fuse

I can't really see much wrong with the M92T36 it looks ok
What voltage do you get on pins 2, 3 and 4 of bq24193 with the charger plugged in

Pin 1 - 5v
Pin 2 - 4.1
Pin 3 - 4.1
Pin 4 - 1.5
Pin 5 - 4.1
