I think it finally broke
it keep telling me I must format this card first
works fine in m3r, game show up and work fine

I got an error when trying to delete a file off the card
then it doesnt show up anymore

so is it a broken reader?

I backed up my games
but I rather not format because of I renamed every rom on there by hand...
about 180 or so with NDS and GBA

this is a HC card so I cant just slap it in another SD reader to test
I dont have any other MicroSDHC readers

M3DSR's mSD reader are known for breaking up easily. i got 2, n i burried 'em into gravehole in less than a week of their usefullness. so yeah, u better get mSDHC reader to check if ur mSDHC card is corrupted or not (hopefully not)

that is what happened to me with my reader.exsacly the same
I got a new reader and had to reformat it.I think it's the reader messing the card up.
after I got a good reader no problems.

yea it seems the reader is gone
doesnt even show up in windows anymore
yesterday it was just giving me you must format this card before use, now it does nothing

gonna try my phone
VX8300 + data cable and see if I can get access to it

I got a mini memory card reader from best buy it is called DYNEX 16.99
model #DX-CRMN1 it takes the micro and the adapter too.works great

MicroSD and MicroSDHC readers are notorious for the speed at which they phail. Especially ones provided by M3 and other such companies. In fact, the only reader of mine I still trust is an apple shaped SD/MS reader for USB. I'm not going to touch the ones that came with my various MicroSD memory cards - I value them too much.

Your best bet is using a MicroSD->SD adaptor, and then use a standard SD card reader (like the ones that come built into modern laptops) or any USB SD reader. I've used that since Christmas (when I got my first pink DS phat - for my brother) and it's never let me down. Works in my USB SD reader, laptop SD reader, and in my desktop USB/Memory card reader (which replaced my floppy drive some time ago).

I actually have about 7 MicroSD->SD adaptors, although I only have 4 MicroSD cards (2 of which are in phones). They all work fine. EDIT: they read MicroSD and MicroSDHC equally well, except since my 2GB MicroSD and 8GB MicroSDHC are class 4 (increased writing speeds), they work faster.

yes it does use SDHC and im useing a scandisk 8 gig class 6 now
but if your straped for cash I would get the 2 dollor 1.

any reader from bestbuy that will work?
ive got giftcards here

Yes there is a reader at BestBuy. The Dynex generic internal reader works great. It even has it's own slot for Transflash/Micro SD Cards, so you don't even need an adapter. It only cost me $15. Link to the reader

Get this. My reader broke exactly as yours did. 13$+ shipping. It's a Kingston card reader, plus a 2 gb sd card. Great value. The reader also has a normal, mini, and micro sd slot in it. They can all be used at the same time also. It shows up in your computer as 3 separate drives, so you can copy to and from each card in the reader.

idk

I dont really have use for any more SD cards

thinking out the dynex one though (the external one that lana said works with SDHC)

and found out I cant access the MicroSDHC card via my phone of the comp
went through all the trouble of updating the firmeware too just so it can read SDHC cards

I really should have ordered a backup reader when I bought all this stuff

I got order within one day which is odd but this reader is very small
its like twice the size of the micrsd card height wise
kinda hard to get the card out but I can

works great though

I had the same problem - I'm surprised since I used it maybe 3-4 times before it just died.

I spent freckin' ages on uninstalling drivers, changing cards, pc's.

Eventually bought this little combo cube thing off ebay. works a treat since.
