A ak2i doesn't have a usb slot thing, you can only update from a dsi 1.3 or lower or a dsl or ds

I have a DSL that I can use so theres no problem there,

just get a better flash card, i dont know why u like r4 soo much, just get a ak2i or an m3i 0
atleast they dont give u problems like the r4 and plus they last

I personally like M3(i) Zero better,But then again,the update cable is kind of a drag....i'm going to try to return mine because somethings wrong with it o-o

AK2i is no frills (literally, even with akAIO) but the latest m3i0 beta firmware is introducing real time guide, i believe. I have an ak2i but am so tempted to get the cards that add value that make it more "pda like" (although respect to akAIO team for focusing on compatibility)

games and homebrew compatobility are better on ak2i with akaio
in terms of media compatibility m3 is better even tho there arent alot of formats of music and videos available on flash cards

I've had nothing but problems with my m3i0. Go with the ak2i with akaio. Much better community support.

you bumped a topic that's 9 months old....anyways, no there's still no way to update an acekard 2i on a 1.4 DSi. You need either a DS, DS Lite or 1.3 DSi.

It's more like 70-30 chance of not working.
M3 team is dead, so no updates, there for less chances for working games.
