What the hell does that mean? It was "confirmed" that Sakura isn't open source, so how are "users" going to upgrade the software?
Although they could make it open source simply by releasing the source code, team m3/g6 could argue that the flashcart itself may not contain any copyrighted material because the kernel resides on the SD card and since their product is the flashcart itself, and sakura resides in the SD card, that statement is technically true. It could also just a translation error because of babelfish/google translate.
