Hacking M3 expansion with CycloDS?

Hello, I recently bought an EZ Flash 3 in 1, but I found out Id be better off with the M3s expansion because it supports the RTC. So I have two questions.

1) Will the expansion work with CycloDS? Or will I need the M3 real?
2) I read there is a version with and without the RTC, how can I tell which one to get?

1. you need the external loader GBA Exploader.
2. the version you get will be RTC, the NON-RTC was fazed out like the older versions of the 3in1.

So as long as I use Rudolph's GBA Exploader I shouldn't have an issue? Great, looks like I will now be purchasing one.
