OP
M.Planets is a homage made to recreate NEStroid.
Some adjustments were made to make the game more enjoyable for modern gamers.

+Sharper Movement
+A Map System
+Restarting with Full Health and Ammo
+Customizable Controls
+Item Percentage, Time Counter, and Mini-map
+A Randomized Mode, where Item locations will be swapped randomly
+A Hard Difficulty, where enemies deal 2x Damage, and Missiles and Energy are reduced
+A Strike Mode, where there is a finite amount of Energy and Ammo in the world, but you start with all upgrades
+Automatic Saving, no passcode needed
+Keeps track of Speedrun Data for your playthroughs
+Smoother/Added Animations
+Fancy Particle Effects
+Equipment Menu, turn items on/off

NEW WORLD MAP:
One huge addition I added is a completely new world map that you can play through separately. That means this game actually has 2 games in 1: The original NES world and then a new redesigned one.
The redesigned world has a larger world than the original, a completely new area, a few new enemies, and some new bosses.

CONNECT:
There is also a multiplayer feature that allows you to play co-op with up to 10 players!
Connect also supports a new Versus Mode for competitive racing!

ROOM STUDIO
The next Planet that I add is going to be a bit different. It will be randomly generated, but from user designed rooms!
To facilitate that, I've added a Room Studio built in-game that you can use to design rooms for the upcoming planet!

VERSION 1.25 [6/8/20] - Bug Fixes + Improvements
+Room Studio
+Seed of the Month added
+Aspect Ratio options added
+Finer Volume Control added
+Improved 8-bit Audio
+Style Option for audio has been removed
+Saving and Loading improved
+Strike Mode now uses Save Points
+Strike Mode can now view Replays
+Metroids have been adjusted in several ways
+Enemies no longer damage during door transitions
+Novus: Super Ridley has less health and no longer causes body damage while grabbing
+Novus: Mother Brain deals less Damage with Hyper Beam and other adjustments
+Lots of minor bug fixes and improvements
+Lots of code reorganization

The major highlight is the addition of the Room Studio! With it, you can design your own rooms that will be used in a randomly generated world. Many rooms will be needed before the random world generator will be functional, so please consider designing some rooms and submitting them via the Discord!
Work on the Room Studio is ongoing, so please report any issues you have with it.

(A bit of an older video. Some new features are not shown.)
