Hacking Luma Updater v2.3 - no change after updating

hello...

i have a N3DS XL 11.0.0-33E with luma 3ds 7.0.5-f5aa639

internet is connected

when starting luma updater v2.3, iget this screen:



i choose install stable version 9.0, i get this screen:



no matter what option i choose, after about 10 seconds i get this screen:



and after reboot & check, nothing changed.

any hints?

considering you are currently running Luma3DS 7.0.5 it means you have AL9H and not B9S so v9.0 will not work

"never change a running system" - before i kill my 3ds, should i update to b9s& luma 9 or leave it as it is?

so... i did all those things and now i am on 11.6.0.39E & luma 9.0-2a840f2 - everything ok.

now i got 1 question... can i put the sd card into pc & format it, so i have a clean/fresh sd card?

format your SD card as FAT32
you may need http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?guiformat.htm
get the boot.firm from the 7z from https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases and put that on your SD
put the boot.3dsx from https://github.com/fincs/new-hbmenu/releases on your SD card
then follow https://3ds.hacks.guide/finalizing-setup

Just a warning, using the latest Luma will break TWLoader. Either stick with 9.0 (recommended), use 938cb64, or dump your bootroms, install fastboot3ds (dump your bootroms first since only b9s lets you do that, fastboot3ds doesn't support that), and just use Rei-six for TWLoader.

There should be a script on 3ds guide that u run in gm9 and it will get rid of all update stuff u no longer need
