This makes me wonder. Does the sd card has to be a particular kind of sd card? Ik there is like multiple kinds of sd cards

As long as it is FAT32 formatted… any SD should do.

Thank you so much. It required me to format into fat32. Funny how a small thing can make a huge difference

I installed cfw on new 3ds 9.0 via ninjhax just to install checkpoint app to transfer save file from ds flash cart to real Pokemon ds games hehe.

So reformatting the SD did help? Fine. But you're not done yet. Do avoid this issue in the future copy the new boot.firm to CTRNAND:
