So I had to install a game specific update (Pokemon Moon) and now when I try to load Luma it gets stuck on a black screen. It was working fine immediately before the update. Anyone else have similar issues?

If you use the no outlines patch you have tp update that. Also of you use a firmware.bin you need to delete that.

I've been using the most recent version of Luma. Every time I try to boot into Luma from the homebrew launcher, I just get a black screen.

I do use an emunand, the firmware on the 3ds itself is 9.2.0-20U, I have it set up so that it boots into the homebrew menu where I manually load luma3ds.

Yea.... There's part your problem. It used to be that people would keep on using their emunand because a9lh was dangerous and had a high brick rate if you didn't know what you're doing. Now I'd say the opposite is true, and it's probably safer and easier to install arm9loaderhax at this point. There's virtually no chance of bricking as long as your education exceeds that of a trained toucan. It will eliminate the need of an emunand, save that gb off of your sd card, and firm write protection will protect you from accidentally don't something stupid on sysnand and losing cfw. As many have mentioned before, your best option is to follow 3ds.guide, as it is the most developed and up to date guide yet.
