I'm sure a lot of people here have at least heard of this game.

Is there anyone here who would be able to do a translation for it? Or at least a menu translation?

I knew it would't take long until someone requests it

But there is a thread for requesting!

Good luck with getting someone to do this... the amount of text in that game is massive

a menu translation isn't as easy as you guys think.
Well the main menu IS actually already in english

And all the other menus are just pictures/no japanese at all.
The only thing that needs to be translated in the menus is the description text (not necessary)

The choices are only text but that would be part of the script and there are many choices.
It also seems that the text files are in the same file format as in Suikoden, but i'm not sure.

i guess this game is the next doki doki huh? i dont see whats so great about this game. ill probably check it out to see whats so great

A bit more information is probably in order.

The current status of the Love Plus translation is that that the game has been successfully unpacked and the text extracted. While we're relatively comfortable with this being an in-house translation, the main problems we're facing are technical in nature. Our website is here, and shows that right now the main obstacles are working out the formatting of the .txrc files (an decoder and encoder have been written for these files already, but working out the output is a problem), and repacking/patching the inserted text into the game proper.

The menus are already mostly in English, and the text strings are up for anyone to translate as they wish (though it should be stressed that we basically have this covered, and want to get the hacking aspect done first). We basically just need to work out how to work with the txrc files right now. If anyone has experience in modifying these files, any help would be greatly appreciated.

menu translation? there isn't much to translate for the menu..
furthermore... it is so obvious what the stuff from the menu or icons mean...

unless you don't know what a sheep means?
unless you don't know what a organizer is for
unless yon don't know what a mobile phone is for
unless you don't know what a icon with SAVE is for..
then what you need is not translation..
what you need is .........

Expect at least two years, if a good team gets on it, due to the large amount of text.
Actually, there's a surprisingly small amount of text.

Visual novels on the PC are generally much, much larger than Love Plus in terms of dialogue, and Love Plus uses very, very simplistic Japanese. That hype about 5000 events? Pure Konami PR. The events are small, often largely repeated, and being on the DS each screen doesn't have much text.

An ideal scenario would see a community translation getting this done concurrently (doable, it's a model that has seen some success with visual novel translations thanks to 4chan's /jp/ board). The main problem is figuring out the pointer tables in the .txrc files and patching them back into a valid file, as nobody there has any experience in rom hacking for the DS.

Edit: For anyone wanting some of the menus translated, there are translations up on the tlwiki page now.

Edit 2: We have repacking sorted out! All that's left is how to manipulate the pointer tables within the .txrc files. If anyone has any experience in this, any help would be greatly appreciated.
