I want to be able to play PS1, PS2, SNES games as well as PS3 games

Is there a certain ps3 slim model and method that has better compatibility with the older ps3 systems? Whats the best way of adding ps3 games as far as conpatibility and fastest way of adding them?

CECH 3001 does not work correct?
