Hello everyone,
I'm currently looking for new games to play.
One type of game I loved was (not sure of the game type) mercenary style. You know, just like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. You take request, each request has a reward, you accomplish them, you get the reward, buy items for future request, etc.. And there is also a story in the game, just like Pokemon MD. :)

If anyone has example of games in that style for PC, then I'm willing to look at them.
Thanks a lot :)

Well, it depends, if I will always need to get new players to complete every single mission, then no, I don't like those kind of mmorpg, However, if I can avoid this most of the time, then yes, I may like it ^^

Most people would call the mystery dungeon franchise (pokemon or otherwise) a variation on the roguelike concept. I can give you loads of suggestions for those but very few of them have the mission thing you are on about.

For missions themselves... you have loads of choices from any number of gameplay styles. Most of the time I do not take too much note of them beyond noting their absence -- so many are either kill quests, fetch quests or occasionally escort quests. Do not get me wrong though as I will usually spend ages doing these in games (makes reviewing them if I have to do so in a timely fashion rather difficult, if not only because I often end up overpowered as a result).

You might also like more in the "life simulator" world. You have more text based ones like http://www.academagia.com/ which I really do like, going a bit further back in time you have things like king of dragon pass https://www.gog.com/game/king_of_dragon_pass (a video series of some gameplay). These come with the added bonus that they can do some more creative things with the concept.

If you mainly want interesting things to happen that you might not expect then I will also point at http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/ (it is free). The barrier to entry is pretty high but it could be something like what you seek.

If you don't mind older systems, try emulators like psx has Chocobo Dungeon, I am sure there are others, same mystery dungeon on type game.
