I have an old, non-ds lite nintendo ds that I've had since 2005. I have an r4ds for it and it works nicely and everything is fine.

I'm looking for a slot-2 device to play gba roms and I've gone to many a website, but their descriptions are ridiculously long and I can't understand which ones will do what I want and which ones won't, because they have all of these things that say certain ones have some amount of memory as opposed to another one, this one will run some size rom, that one will do this blah blah blah. It's insane.

All I want is a gba flash cart thing that will work on a normal old original ds, that I can just plug into my computer (with windows vista), put gba roms on it, put it back in my ds and play the roms. With a price range from like $50-$80? Please help.

How about $20? With the EZFlash 3in1, you can put all your GBA games on your R4 along with a homebrew program called GBAExploader. You run GBAExploader and choose the GBA ROM you want and it'll load it to the 3in1. Here's a link for a fat DS: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15778. Feel free to ask any more questions.

EDIT: Don't use the DealExtreme link I gave you. Apparently they're sold out. Here's another link: http://www.realhotstuff.com/expansion-pack-size-p-212.html. The site is very trustworthy so you won't get screwed over.

QUOTE(Echo @ Jan 11 2009, 10:10 PM) Question... Why does the one at DX look different compared to the one at RHS :wtf:

I searched for ones that would be cheaper than the one at RHS, but sadly, I found nothing.
designs vary sometimes i guess. as for the price, 23 bucks is fine

Hmm they are different aren't they

. They're both legit sites though, so they're both fine. Must be different models or something.

haha i have no clue what you're talking about

The Design is different. If you look closely, (well it's pretty obvious) the design is different.

That's one thing for sure. Probably one of them hasn't updated it yet.

It's probably the fact that the DX one is DS Lite sized and the RHS one is DS Phat sized. Definitely something you want to clarify before placing an order.

The DX link I gave is for the phat version. If you click on the link it takes you to the phat version and the picture is on that page.

@ Sports ~ Yea.. But I wonder... Has anyone ordered ones of these recently? One at DX to be excact. As I want to know if they got that design...

@ Dan ~ Well, if you are smartical like me, you would know that the picture I got is from DX. (smartical part is a joke. don't take it seriously.)

I've heard that they look like that because Nintendo patented the cart design, and when the EZFlash team found out I guess they had to change the design.

Just some stuff I saw in the comments section on DX.

That makes a lot more sense. Just hope you get the GBA-looking version I guess!

I didn't click the links, no. I was just skimming the topic and saw people trying to figure out the difference between two pictures, so I posted the most obvious difference. My apologies.

Yea. Hopefully you do... I for one, think that the picture at DealExtreme looks... a little retarted?

Don't apologize! I was just joking in the first place. I guess you can say I am one of the humorous type of people!

I agree. It doesn't even look like a GBA cartridge. I guess it wouldn't look too bad when it's inside the DS, just make sure it stays there!
