Gaming looking for games like nsmb

Henry Hatsworth is a pretty solid platformer. Relentlessly volleying enemies with sword slashes is quite entertaining. It's also very funny at times (hehe, Teatime), and it's much more challenging than NSMB's forgiving level design.

Giana Sisters is awesome, one of few remakes that improves on the original massively aside from that only Henry Hatsworth is worth replaying.

I would say Kirby Super Star Deluxe DS (cant remember full title of the DS version) but the platforming parts aren't as enjoyable as the other parts.

Just a handful off the top of my head:

Kirby and the Cursed Canvas is one of the greatest 2d platformers ever,

Giana Sisters is an OKAYish mario ripoff,

Starfy is way too easy/not great in my opinion,

Super Princess Peach you need to plow through the game's easy stages but beating it unlocks a much more challenging game with different levels,

Legend of Kage 2 seems pretty good but only played for 5 mins

Kirby Super Star Ultra
Kirby Squeak Squad
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
Giana Sisters
Henry Hatsworth and the Puzzling Adventure
Assassin's Creed DS
Assassin's Creed II DS
Ninja Gaiden DS

And Tetris DS has a little cinematic thing that goes on that plays the old SMB1 the longer you don't fail at Tetris, if that counts.

Why hasn't anybody suggested Viewtiful Joe D:
Because that's more of a beat 'em up. I don't suppose you go through levels that play like platformers.

It's a beamup, not a platformer.

Um, Giana Sisters DS is alright. I liked it. Since the franchise is notorious for being a dead-on copy of Mario, it has a lot of the same aspects. Although they did make the DS title an original one.

Sonic Rush, Sonic Rush Adventure, Kirby Squeak Squad, Kirby Super Star Ultra, and Henry Hatsworth And The Puzzling Adventure.
