If you really want it cheap, just DIY. Its only a matter of tracing a DVD and cutting with a Xacto knife.

I don't even think the laser can read all the 4.3GB if a full disc in a Gamecube, can it??

Yes, its' easy to "do it youself" but it'll look like absolute garbage unless you've done case mods before. Most people don't want a hacked up system. Your call though.

The GC cannot read beyond 1.4gb, but you can burn GC games to full sized DVDs and the GC will read it.

Even if you do find one of the toppers, it won't be cheap FYI.
