as what I mean by it, it means like Kingdom Heart...

it have both JP and USA version, they both will have the exact same problem.

I ended up purchasing a Acekard 2i from Gamekool a few days ago. I'm mad because I should have just bought it from Dealextreme for the $12.00, Instead I paid around $22.00ish but I hope to get it quicker then if I bought it from Dealextreme. I hope it works well, especially for Kingdom Hearts.

when it comes to using any flash cart you can't really know if it will continue to be supported by the team or third party(ysmenu or akaio).
and most games work on all carts cloned r4 or acekard or dstt or any of hte other brands but some newer roms have protections that need newer firmware that patches them in real time or a patch to be permanently applied in the end it's all the same protection fix you just don't notice on over the other.
also don't take anyone persons word on any one problem with any one flash cart unless many many ppl are having it, even then the best way to find out if something works or not its to try it your self.

I agree that flashcart producer is random, you never know what will be discontinue.
but come back and think about it, would you rather have a support from official or third party? (third party do everything they want, there is no guarantee or promise from them, or anyone we can blame with when things goes wrong)

the problem here is, would you buy a old R4 with YSMENU or a Acekard with AKAIO or SCONE/M3i ? (Assume you have neither one of it)

I believe you already have made your the answer there.

they contradict each other in term of business perspective, but one would rather purchase a official support product than a product that is abandon by official.

I have highlight the argument you point out by yourself, and apply it to acekard's situation.

uh... the acekard team could also do what ever they wanted, if they wanted only mario games could work on the firmware they could make it so.
and the fact is that acekard has for most the teams existence supported out side help with compatibility the AKrpg's loader is open source for example.
they even have a link to akaio on there site.
plus you're shouting "official support product" at the wrong person cuz i use Linux and it's not officially supported by ... well.. most if not all computers.

you cannot use the argument of Linux in this situation, Linux is base on large GPL Community......

and you already point out a counter problem by yourself again.

if a flash cart is well supported by a third party and the official team is ok with it then i don't see any problem with it.
it mean that you have something to fall back on you use official and the unoffcial goes away then your still good and visa versa that's just what i think and a lot of acekard, r4, and dstt owners would agree with me and some maynot , we can shout our opinions at each other all day if you like it does no good this is not a way tward progress but a path to conflict.
also taking things out of context with red lettering proves nothing.
i did not kill anyone let me go now.
see what i mean?

well i think he should play sround with all of them and buy the one he likes ive actually never seen a real flash card tht a friend has that not a r4 the only hting ive seen was edge and r4 so im excited to see my acekard

exactly as i said the best way to find out if something works or not its to try it your self.
you might not like the AK2i but that doesn't mean others won't too that's the asshole move to say everything you know is fact or even act that way in a seaming manner.
hey some ppl want a SCDS1i and a M3i0 that's cool too what ever works for you but you'll never know till you try dip your quil in many inks to find the one that suits you best.
the world would be a boring place if everything and everyone was the same.

official team is not ok at all, they even abandon their forums, and third party is only supported by few of developers.

I believe you already see the problem there..

the reason why I highlight your own words because you have counter your own thought by your words.

yes, I do have lots of flashcart to play around with, and my final thought is acekard prove itself its not a flashcart for a new buyer.

for DSLite, CycloDs is the best...
for DSi, M3i/SCOne both proves itself to have far superior support than any other DSi cartage. At the same time, acekard cannot stand itself with its feature and support, and the only attractive element is the price, where you can get it for like 13 USD.

i said if the offcial team is ok WITH IT! i said nothing about them them selfs being ok.
that is called taking my words and twisting them or as i said out of context.
EDIT: and i feed my dog chocolate before and guess what? nothing happened it's still alive OMG!

im new to flash card but im using it for dsi because it was only 1 dollar more then 2.1 so what the hel right nad when i get a dsi it will do the job fine

then you see the problem is at?

so official team themselves is not ok. you just said it yourself.

And third party do whatever they want to do, they can release thing today or tomorrow or never. its a question without a answer

so you are suggesting customer to pay 13USD and gamble it?.....

its not word twisting if you understand the meaning behind the word.

no i suggesting you won't know till you try.
only a idiot doesn't try things for them selfs.

Understand?
