Gaming Looking for a gamepad driver

Hi,
I'm looking for driver for a gamepad. It is exactly like a PS1 controller without the analog sticks, so just 10 buttons.

It uses gameport for connection. I can only find PSX pad driver for Parallel port.

Can anyone help me?

If you are using Windows, just try the regular Game Controllers menu in Control Panel to add a custom one and see if that works.

But the most they have is 4 buttons if you add a 'custom' one.

The drivers are probably included in the sound card drivers.

Oh right, that make perfect sense, the gamepad drivers are with the soundcard drivers.

Perhaps thinking before posting might help a little.

Is it a generic brandless one?
I've got a Logitech one, and it worked out of the box, I didn't even need to install any drivers.
Try the manufacturers website for drivers.

That's actually a good suggestion. The OP states it is using a gameport, which are (were?) typically found on the soundcard. If the gameport itself isn't recognized, installing drivers may help and would likely be found with soundcard stuff. Perhaps you shouldn't be too hasty in criticizing other people's suggestions if you aren't all that well versed yourself.

To the OP, the gamepad itself should have some type of brandname on it, possibly underneath it. Many generic gamepads will work with gamepad drivers from Gravis, so you might want to check their website too. Gamepad Pro is a good starting point.
