So, I've been wanting to play some FarCry on Ubuntu, and I have NO clue how. I know you use a program called Wine, but I'm not sure how to use it. I know that Linux uses OpenGL for gaming, while Windows uses DirectX. So, do I just have to install the game regularly, how is there a special method? Thanks Tempers!~

Far Cry is NOT playable under Linux, even with WINE. Checked again, apparently some managed to get it working under WINE. You have to install WINE, then use command line to launch game installer using WINE.

In fact most Windows games aren't playable under Linux.

I started reading about that! It's kind of sad if you think about it! I had tons of games on my Windows Hard Drive, but it's fried, so I can't do much!

Why not set up a w7/w8 dual boot for your games, and your linux distro for everything else?
