Hacking Linked NANDS

Since he already managed to update his emuNAND before he should be able to just update right now. Likely he unlinked his nands in the past
Well actually a friend of mine did the update and then i screwed my themehax, he told me i had linked them but i wasn't 100% sure since FW where in different places.

also to test if you have unlinked, just put a folder in sysnand and see if it transfers to emunand, if it does you're linked. Don't test with themes as they aren't reliab
oh realy? ok i will try the folder thing just to make sure

lmao i just checked with the cboot and ugh
first of all i have both reinand and rxtools, i tried reinand but nothing happended. when i launched the rxtools neither the theme or the folders where in there.
Next i looked at my SD, i have a folder called "3ds" and another called "Nintendo 3DS".
One has the Homebrew things and the other one has "private" folder and that stuff.

When i loaded RxTools it had the games i already opened before but they where gifts again.

welp.

Unlinking NANDs has nothing to do with being able to update. Updating emuNAND NEVER updates sysNAND, regardless if they are linked or not.

Check this

my SD has everything lol
Also inside my 3ds folder there are some eshop.xhml files, does that mean i can acess it?

So.. ugh, are my nands linked?

Few things.. reinand is for n3DS.. not o3DS.
Regardless of that fact.. LUMA is what you need. Aureinand has changed to Luma since its creation.
Newest version should have folders saying that.
"3DS" folder is for hax.
"Nintendo 3DS" is for your NANDs. If you have two folders with a shitload of random chars along with the Private folder.. then they are linked.
Take a picture of your "Nintendo 3DS" folder and we could determine then.

Edit: actually it could be having ONE folder means theyre linked, and having 2 means unlinked. I cant remember. I only have 1 folder other than private, so it would make sense if emu and sys are linked theyd be sharing 1 folder.

Also, wrong again. Having only 1 folder would mean they are linked. Having 2 folders usually means being unlinked. Since the NAND information is stored in two different folders.

BTW i sent the wrong file, this is the one i have

And this is from the Nintendo 3DS folder, so i guess i'm fine and they are unlinked?

no, you are very much linked, since your data is stored in one single folder

I edited to correct. But way to rush to prove someone wrong.. when an hour ago you were purposefully giving fake info. Im at least trying to help and guide.

However, OP, as said.. one folder means linked. So you need to unlink them.
