just finished the pod race which takes up both screens(top down perspective). fun but very easy(the game so far), similar to the other star wars lego games.

Graphics: not the absolute best on the DS, but charming and cool! They are much nicer than the other LSW DS game. The lightsaber effects are really nice and everything animates fluidly. There are some slight framerate issues when a lot of stuff is happening at once, but it never interferes with play. There is a lot of stuff going on at once. There are no glitches that I have found on my initial playthrough. The cutscenes are not done with the game engine, but handled with a combination of still frames and "flash movie" style animation (ripped from the cutscenes in the console versions). They still convey the humor and are kinda cool, but the console cutscenes are better. The camera seems to behave itself, too. 8/10

Sound: Great! No stupid MIDI, but the full orchestrated soundtrack seen in the movies! The sound effects are great too! 9/10

Gameplay: It matches the gameplay seen in the console versions very well! There are no glitches on my playthrough and the camera behaves itself. Overall a ridiculously great improvement from the previous DS game. Downsides include: levels missing like the Episode 3 Dooku fight, pretty worthless DS controls during normal gameplay (haven't tried any extra DS minigames yet), and some weird flying sequences (no touch screen controls here). The game was only 64 megabytes and they could have upgraded to the 128MB to get in the missing levels (but maybe it's good for limited space on a SD card). Overall I really enjoyed this game and recommend it. The controls are pretty solid, too. This game is a close second to the consoles and the only handheld star wars with all six movies! 8.5/10

Overall a very impressive game and an excellent apology for the last LSW DS game! There was still room for polish here and there, but this game is highly recommended for LSW fans who want a good portable game. Only downsides are: worthless touch control in story mode, missing levels ( though what's there is VERY close to the console games), and slight frame rate issues. But get this game! It is great! There are a ton of extras. Overall: 8.5/10

I beat the story mode in 6-7 hours, but there a large number of extras and minigames. LSW was never very long, but shined in the extra content.

Gene98, I'm not talking about the TOUCHSCREEN controls. I'm saying that the character movement is very sensitive so when you try to interact with an object, you end up overturning it many times.

Doesn't anyone hate how touchy the controls are? Like, opening doors is a bitch... Still, it's fun, but it just pisses me off!

Hmm...not really having any issues with that. The camera sometimes takes on a poor angle, but hell, even God of War has those types of issues. The only thing I don't care for with the game are some of the design quirks, but I really have had zero issues with bugs. So far, this game goes well beyond my expectations. I was expecting it to be cleaned up, but not necessarily all that fun or interesting. But they really made the levels fun and varied, and it's an especially nice touch to have those vehicle levels. I just got done doing one in Ep. 2 that reminded me of playing Xevious. It was pretty darn fun.

I found the game highly enjoyable. I beat it earlier this morning. I didn't bother with all the "free play" collecting, but I played through all the levels in "story mode".

Total play time: 9 1/2 hours.

Imagine if I wanted to collect everything....

@K3Nv2 that's crazily expensive. how long will that take to pay off?

Although diet is largely education, people don't need to go to university to learn what's healthy and what's not,
it's the whole country, big corporations and advertising that is to blame for leading most of the population to believe that poptarts and froot loops are healthy to feed a child
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
i would think the population knows better but with food deserts and abject poverty, sometimes a poptart gonna have to do.

As someone who went through the grade school system in the US some time within the past 30 or so years, not nearly enough is done to promote and educate on how to eat healthy in a way that is feasible to do on a regular basis and also affordable. Eating healthy is, comparatively, fucking expensive. So is eating unhealthy, but in many cases eating unhealthy is more affordable than eating healthy

@Sicklyboy I agree, but also it's about self control and realistic thinking. We wouldn't feed a dog soda, so why feed it to ourselves? Eating unhealthy food because it's cheap is one thing, but I'm sure you know people who drink soda routinely when they should be drinking water which is free.
I get it can feel mean to say "no treat sweet beverage for you anymore" but for many people it's just in their way of life.
