I've been trying to figure out if it's possible to launch .nds format DSiWare through DSiMenu++ and hiyaCFW. dsi.cfw.guide has instructions for dumping DSiWare from a 3DS, but I'm trying to do this for software that's no longer available on the 3DS store.

The two things I've tried so far:
  • Just launching the .nds files like they were any other DS game. This just gives a white screen and hard crashes the DSi.
  • Using dpad's script to convert the .nds to .cia, installing to a 3DS, and moving the files over to the DSi in the title/003004/gameid format, similar to dsi.cfw.guide's instructions. This creates the folders I would expect on the 3DS, but once moved to the DSi the folders are deleted on boot.

Is it possible to convert or otherwise launch these or am I wasting my time?

You supposedly are able to launch them in .nds format from dsimenu++. However i havent figured out how to yet
Hi, I have .nds format dsiware that launches fine on dsimenu++. As long as the dsiware has been converted to a valid .nds and isn't corrupted, you should have no trouble launching them :D
