    Hi recently l had tried to repair my laptop last night and do a thermal grease change,now while i was putting it back together the Power Ribbon cable/Multimedia Lights ribbon copper wires god mash and such but the laptop still powers on and such,but now i have to buy a new cable ribbon now if i replace these will my laptop still power on fine and such?

    vtw my laptop is a Hp DV6500 series

    Yep. If you've not destroyed anything on the connectors themselves, changing the ribbons will be fine.

    Arnt HP Laptops a Pain :P

    My G60 has the WORST placement for the touch pad cable ever!

    mine is right in the center XD keyboard is the pain putting it back in XD

    The worst thing about my HP and It is proberly the same for yours is the fact if you want to clean out the cooler in it from time to time as you should you have to gut the whole damned thing....

    Thankfully I have very easy access to that part on my MB-85 Limited Edition
