Before starting
The second-hand controller had worn triggers and thumbsticks, so I wanted to replace them. It was operational, with the exception of Light Bar feedback, which may be due to one of the higher legs of the ribbon connector on the power board being corroded, at least visually.

During repair
I opened up the controller, replaced the buttons and pads with the replacements I had for them, and I cleaned it up (it was very dirty inside). While at it, I treated the seemingly corroded leg with a dry toothbrush.

I had an unfortunate case of the touchpad ribbon cable falling apart on the main board end, making the blue tab fall off and some of the copper strips detached on the end. I trimmed the end of it, pushed the cable in along with the blue tab, and hoped for the best.

Aftermath
No connection via Bluetooth or USB. Leaving it be makes the battery warm. Holding reset does nothing.

Is there anything you can suggest for me to diagnose? Given that the main board must have been fully operational and I wasn't doing any soldering, I don't understand what could have gone wrong.
