I've tried re-downloading and still the same problem.
The SGB mode won't turn off permanently for some reason.

I change it to "Off" then I save the settings and try. It plays in B&W as I wanted.
Then I turn off then back on the DS and check.

SGB still says "Off", but if I load a game it uses SGB anyway.
I have to go back turn it on then off again.

Lameboy.cfg only show scrambled digits of some sort.
    What does yours say?

    The flat lands.
Have you tried saving your settings within Lameboy? There's an option there to save settings and from the looks of it you didn't say you saved your settings from within Lameboy [IMG]

Open the LAMEBOY.CFG with a Hex Editor:

    6C62 7361 0004 0002 0101 0002 0002 0100

Change the number highlighted in bold from 0101 to 0001 and save, 0=OFF 1=ON. btw which flash linker are you using?

HxD says "External exception C0000006" when I try to open the file.

    Looks like I did.

I use Hex Workshop, its a problem with HxD. I uploaded a LAMEBOY.CFG with SGB OFF, you can try. If that doesn't work its a bug.

    Still doesn't work.
Mind uploading the lameboy.nds you're using as well?

I finally got around to testing a SGB game "Contra: The Alien Wars" and I can confirm its a bug. Oh well.

I don't see the point in uploading my "lameboy.nds", since the file will be the same v0.12 lameboy as yours. [IMG]
