L4T Ubuntu
Intro

I have problems with Internet connection. It sucessfully connected to my wifi during the installation process but later it didn't work and didn't find any wifi network.
I rebooted and now wifi is working well for me. I have two more questions.
1. Can you change the FAT32 partition to exfat?
2. Is there sleep mode in L4T?

No it has to be FAT32. I believe the coreboot image doesn't have support for exFAT.

Sleep, I'm not sure.

Hi there,

every time i reboot i have to pair the joycons again. Any way to get around this?
With my bluetooth mouse and keyboard i just have to press a key and they are connected again.
Using them in horizon will unpair them, won't be fixed really.
When I boot this throught Hekate I get a blank screen for like 15 seconds and the it reboots back to RCM. I already tried with 2 different SDcards with the same result. Got a solution for this?
Wait, fix may be soon
For anyone interested in 3D modeling (Or modding on the switch for the switch), Blender runs disgustingly well on this thing.
Camera movement works beautifully with the Joycons. Its also devouring a 560K polygon sculpt I decimated from Zbrush so im sure high poly modeling and sculpting works decent.

I'm hoping that the wacom digitizer in my Surface will just werk during a stream session. (Works with ALL the Notes and remote desktop ) So I can play with the pressure sensitivity and performance.

Imagine hooking up an eGPU to this for substance painter and gimp.. Its the most cybp device in your house right now.
Wacom likely won't work in current version, next version will have them though.
I'm curious if there would be anyway to use the joycons while it's being used as a tablet
You can pair with bt and then slide in
Okay so, I installed Kodi and cant get out of it.
Read app thread
Hey guys, so I tried to set up L4T today on my switch however it is stuck on a blank screen and doesn't do anything, after booting from hekate. Strangely enough my partners switch boots it immediately (with the same microSD card and installation - SanDisk Extreme 32GB) so wondering if there is a driver issue with booting on newer switches? His was bought on launch however mine was bought in august 2018 (unpatched obviously).

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
Wait for next version
@bylaws With bigger eMMC size (I personally have 128gb), would it be possible to install it onto it?
Also, this is a really great achievement. Fully featured ubuntu on Switch, yey. But oh my god, it is so slow/laggy
Need to enable in device tree, may work though

Will overclocking to 2.0GHz degrade the nintendo switchs battery or is that not true?
uh. battery life will be shorter than with lower speeds, but it probably won’t cause any damage to the battery

I guess that you'll get like 1.5 hours max as well :D
nah, battery life likely won’t be impacted that much, probably around 2 to 2 1/2 hours
(assuming you have the GPU running at regular speeds)

You can't deny that it will degrade faster. I am not saying that you will ever notice it as it's li-ion and those last for ages. Just look at 3ds. 8 years since I first got it and it still lasts for like 4-5 hours (although the switch is generally more power hungry, so it's going to degrade faster).

Gonna hope for that ;)
Also, for some unknown reason, USB drives won't mount. They can be detected via lsusb, but that's about it. Is it just me?

Use other ports.

My dock ponly can do usb hdd on the lowest port

Any idea why? Different bluetooth mac between horizon and Ubuntu?

I tried all ports. And it is detected in all of them. But that's about it. You can see it with lsusb but nothing else.

They can remember only 1 paired device (my guess).

But why? Because different bluetooth mac?

If HOS and Ubuntu have the same bt mac, they are one device right?

Bluetooth devices are paired with some sort of address (mac probably, not sure on that), but both need to have the same passkey, which is RNG every time (or it's nowaday a bit different again, but something is RNG for sure).

Yeah, it's hard to read because it's stored in prodinfo which requires emmc and encryption stuff, so we just use default

I have two 128gb USB flash drives, neither of which work in any of the USB ports.

They show up in LSUSB but not in LSBLK
