the wait is killing me.. with the near update of nintendo coming... uhhh i want a 9.2

I would also test. My N3DS XL arrived today rather than the estimated Monday.... only problem is I have to wait for the charger to arrive. Lmao.
What firmware did it come with?

Just stick with 10.3, Nintendo can't force you to update. :)
A couple more weeks at the most and memchuckhax2 should be stable.

They can't force you to update, but if you softbrick you will be having fun in 10.4 without downgrade or homebrew (unless you have ninjhax)

Instead of waiting your better off trying now with sysUpdater by following one of the many tutorials. As said before, most bricks are caused by User errors

If I could I would lol but the kernel exploit never runs and when it does it'll simply freeze the 3DS

i would, but the fact that even if you got everything rigth and still have a chance of hard-brick is a no no for me.... i got it on christmas as a gift and dont want to brick

I've actually seen 2 cases where rapidly mashing the y button actually worked when they thought it was frozen. I mean, could have been luck, but its something you can try xD
Nope, tried that for half an hour straight :P Besides that, not even the quit to HBL shortcut works anymore after that so yeah it's completely dead lol.

no no i get that, just if there is a chance of soft-brick then goodbye to entrypoints.

you sure they close all entrypoints currently available? we know nintendo. they will do it so sloppy that new modified entrypoints will come rather quickly (I hope).

It took over a year for there to be a new kernel exploit that allowed anything beyond userland homebrew, the last time being 9.2.
