Kitten squad is another great donor title, very high compatibility. MK8D won't load with any donor I've thrown at it. I'm using sdfiles v41 w. Hekate 3

I said when playing game mods - I don't use LayeredFS for backups
Also, that homebrew crash seems weird ...

No it worked fine

I had your issue happen to me but I was working on DSi CFW. I was unable to delete some files and it would mount and unmount over and over sometimes (on my PC). Plugged it into my Macbook and formatted it with no issues and haven't had an issue since. If you have access to a Mac, give it a shot, otherwise try using a format/partition tool other than the built in Windoze garb.

Edit: to get this to work on 3.0.1 remove the exosphere.bin file

If it's to run MK8 i don't care about the language

I think manually updating MK8DX will get it to work with LayeredFS, because from what I've read that seems to be the case with getting it to work with SX OS. I know SX OS and LayeredFS work differently but I think it's worth a try.

I'm going to try downloading MK8D as an nsp file and install it through the devmenu. I hope it will work.

Actually if you enter the titlekey with the command in CDNSP the output nsp file will become installable.
