konami reveals new ryhtm game for ds

Konami of Japan today announced via its official Bemani home page it has a new music game series in development for the Nintendo DS. Right now, very little is being revealed about the title aside from its basic gameplay premise. The game's title, Utacchi, seemingly reflects "U Touch," which would make sense considering this new rhythm action game is based off touch mechanics. It's not quite the home version of jubeat everyone could be looking for, however, the game is looking to set itself apart from that series by implementing features that will somehow allow players to sing as a part of the gameplay. Currently, the title is being marked for one to four players and is scheduled to release on Feb. 25, 2010. One odd item I've been noting so far is the title is being closely associated with the pop'n music Web pages on the Bemani network of sites for Konami of Japan. Could this possibly be a spin-off of the pop'n music series tailored for the DS? It's hard to say until we can see some media based on the game, but, it could be a possibility.

As of right now, no other details are being presented in regard to the title, however, we'll be sure to keep everyone updated as news becomes available. For the time being, though, you can view the initial product page for Utacchi while we wait on more details.

I'm not a fan of sing a longs or Karaoke for the matter but the rest of the concept is pretty good.

never has a game reach the standards of Elite Beat Agents...
its very close to the release date and very info is out but i doubt i will be trying any rhythm games
