i was looking forward to playing this, but i was unable to get past the first boss. the tip said something to the effect of "use the dodge roll". didn't know how and i didn't save the game yet, so i said **** it.

You would have had to activate Dodge Roll via the board thingy (sorry the name escape my brain right now). Dodge Roll is "directional + Y"

I am currently halfway through the game (I think). Somehow, it seems easier now.

That...is just kind of sad. What difficulty did you try it on? If it was Standard, you should be ashamed for being so bad at the game. The first boss is easy as hell and only actually hit me maybe once when I fought it. Even on Critical, I imagine the first boss wouldn't be too difficult to beat.

The game does get easier as you go on as long as you make sure to fight all the heartless you come across instead of skipping through them to make the game go faster.

i couldn't outrun the bouncing attack. i dont have a good history with KH games in general though; i quit the original for PS2 after i lost the race on the island or whatever.

i gave up after the first KH
how could a simple looking game get so complicated, i couldn't follow the story anymore
i'd just be playing and not know what it's about

I had trouble with the first boss on Proud. I didn't have trouble hitting or rolling though. But just ONE of his attacks, and I'd be stuck.

This has got to be the most ridiculous challenge ever. "Play at Night" Thank goodness I only wager 30% cause my DS clock was wrong (was re-battling Brock in Pkm SS and I forgot to reset the time)

I only wager 10% because it's not night at our country. I also finished the story at standard.
