Homebrew Kingdom Hearts DS control hacks?

Long story short, I want to remap the controls for 358/2 days so that they're closer to how the Kingdom Hearts games control on PlayStation (×=B instead of ×=A, etc.). Is there any kind of AR code or patch to allow me to do that? It'd be convenient to know if there's one for Re:Coded as well. I know the obvious solution is to play it on emulator, but I want to see if it can be done on an R4 with a 3DS instead.

I swear to god people don't look for information before they post. That is not possible because the 3DS hardware is shut down in DS mode. There is literally no getting around that.

You could also try and patch a rom for it similar to the way some have for the ds zelda games (there's a patch to make the game playable from almost buttons alone). you can find those on romhacking.net ( .com or whatever) and modify them for your purposes, but not too sure haven't looked into it much

See, I was thinking the same thing. I don't know much about 3DS hacking, but it makes sense that the 3DS is inactive in DS mode, and exiting DS mode just boots the 3DS mode. I'm hoping there's some way to make it an AR code, though I have a PC and a 360 controller with a somewhat more suitable button layout if I absolutely have to. Well, I guess desmume does increase the resolution, so maybe I ought to just give that a try.

you could try the app that allows you to stream your pc's screen to your 3ds while it simultaneously I think its called pinbox it doesn't currently run to well for pc games but less intense ones work pretty well. I'll look into ar codes for input changes

So A <-> B and X <-> Y? It would remove the 3 extra slots if X was the only use equipped slot and messing with the shoulder buttons for the camera would be messy.

Well, I just found out Y is for blocking and rolling, which is what ◻ does in the PS2 games, so X and Y are both fine. I really just need a code that swaps A and B.

I meant that he could use an emulator on his computer but stream it to his 3ds and use his 3ds as a controller.

The problem is that these types of things are stated multiple times a day and have to get corrected because no one bothers to actually look for information before posting. There's even times where I've seen people go on a thread and ask a question only for it to have been answered two posts before theirs, on the same page.

Sadly this one won't work for the EU ver I have.

(Quick suggestion: On trying the code, I noticed that it somehow keeps the "B Button" pressed down.
[a.k.a. the 'float' ability keeps staying active, is this fixable ?])
