Well im back and my idea didnt work.
Basally my idea was to replace the update folder with another game's in this game the newest Naruto game.
Purple flash then black screen with every UMD iso mode and with a umd in.

Yeah that won't work unfortunately. I've tried using the same method or similar methods as well. Deleting or modifying the SYSDIR/UPDATE to simply avoid the initial firmware check worked in the past until around the time that games requiring 5.55 OFW started being released. The first batch of Namco-Bandai games showed that there was another means to check the firmware even being able to bypass the initial firmware check.

This leads me to believe that there is another more extensive check in the SYSDIR/Eboot.bin IIRC.

Yeah, that's an outdated method that won't work. I still get the feeling the solution lies within SYSDIR/Eboot.bin and OPNSSMP.BIN

Either way, as soon s I completely legally obtain it and legally dump it onto my PSP and then using said file on my computer I'm going to look through everything since I'm bored and probably won't be able to sleep.

ive tried all methods through the vsh menu and all i get is a black screen

It doesn't load, and I'm assuming that every one's been tried at this point.

I'm going to look through the FMVs and music hopefully.

I'm using 5.00 M33-6. I tried all of them, none work. Black screen of death.
