Hello,

I had my Xbox 360 flashed to play backups of my games last year. It currently plays all games including XGD3s. I'm not sure which drive I have but I recall having some difficulty playing XGD3s until they were burnt onto Verbatim disks. I recently purchased a Kinect and I have backups of Kinect Adventures and Just Dance 2014. Unfortunately the console refuses to let me use the Kinect without an update. My 360 is not online and I am aware that I can update via USB if necessary, but I am afriad to do so in case I am no longer able to boot backups because my firmware has changed.

Please advise on what I can do.

Thanks

You're fine to accept the update. Being you're playing XGD3 I can assume you're on LT3.0 or LTU firmware. I have personally accepted many updates with this firmware.

Ok I will. Is the update on the disk and has anyone else tried it with Just Dance 2014? I'm just a little concerned because it's so new. Yes I'm using LT 3.0, that rings a bell.

be warned at some point i dont remember when there was an update that reflashed the drive to stock or something i don't remeber please find out your current dash firmware number and the updates firmware then post here or do reaseach your self using the info.
