No.
What physical control anyway? Maybe if you have a CPP, but otherwise the screen is the only way to have reasonably quick and accurate aim.

Honestly, not a huge fan of this game style either - semi-auto scroll forward and sorta shoot em up as the whole game.

I use controller only inputs, Buttons to move, and analog stick to aim, that how i played from day one and still play to day even on new 3ds with the extra controls. Though i agree that the controls aren't as well programmed, i think the idea was to emulate mouse controls on pc game? But to be honest if this had been ported to wii/wii u/switch, the control input may been improved, but i doubt it will get console port. I wish though, perhaps support for more multiplayer like more players, and bigger maps.

Seriously though you can play the game without the touch screen, once again, i did with the sole purpose of not wanting touch screen to be main part of gameplay which was awkward but you adjust if you wanna play it that way.

Using the analog stick to aim, and buttons to move, the shoulder to attack and use the items, I managed to work it well. If using buttons to move is awkward compared to a analog stick or something, then maybe imagine using a keyboard when arrow keys are move and ASWD is aiming. Or If you tried nintendo switch, since left joycon emulate traditional d-pad in some games rather than analog. Since i been using pc emulators in early 2000, is been not much of a problem for me, besides walk/run since it require double tap, rather than simple flick or tilt.

I can say is rather flawed, but be glad they didn't use gyro controls for aim like in zelda games on the same system with no option to turn it off. :P

Same. I used the touch screen for a while and then switched to buttons as it was more comfortable. And I don't want nintendo to give up on the series. I'd like to see a much more open world installment on the Switch. If it does well a rework of Uprising in HD could potentially be a good semi easy and quick eshop title to boost some more sales.

And scratching your screen shouldn't keep you from playing the games that are heavy on it. Spend a few bucks on a set of plastic screen protectors and you'll be fine.

U may be leaving streaks on the screen which can be wiped off. But scratches? Idk, how about touching, tapping and sliding and leave out the stabbing and grinding? I'm heavy handed in general and don't have this problem. Buttons only isnt a bad option if u can't help yourself from trying to jam the little plastic stick through the bottom screen.

Also, if u think this is a screen scratching simulator, you better NEVER play Johnny's payday panic.

Are you being for real, cause that's hard to believe, DK is Nintendo and made in japan, Sea of thieves was from Microsoft, in America. I'm not calling you a liar, just didn't know.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ok yes they were both made by Rare, but DK was from Rare back then, Rare now is owned by MS. So makes since.
