Hacking kexploit without gamepad?

can anyone confirm whether or not wii u loadiine/homebrew launcher can be loaded from sd card without a gamepad? I lost my gamepad, think I know where it is, but can't get to it at the moment (long story.) The kexploit/illuminati thing seems to have no problem loading, as well as the other exploits seem to load, but there's a popup that says gamepad required Cancel Ok, so I have to hit cancel and always end up at GetMountSource Failed. Is this a problem with the SD card or does having to hit Cancel on the popup prevent things from going further?

EDIT: Failed to mention, but the error comes up when attempting to load loadiine/homebrew launcher.

How would you control the Wii U? WiiMote?
 
Nope sorry. You can control it with GC TO GAMEPAD but that requires HBL and that requires exploit
 
Without a GamePad, the Wii U firmware stops loading Mii Maker. Nintendo made it that way, because reasons. (Mii Maker does not recognise input from other controllers).
There is no way around this without simulating the GamePad in one way or another.
It may or may not be possible to port HID-TO-VPAD to Browserhax (instead of relying on HBL), so that controller patches can be applied before launching Mii Maker. Any insight, @Maschell ?

Correction: He also said Homebrew launcher sorry, I'm sure that could be accessed.
 
afaik, you can run the kexploit without a Gamepad (I've used a Pro Controller before to launch the kexploit), but you'll be stuck on the Homebrew Launcher as you need to use the Gamepad's touch screen to be able to launch anything.

You can probably launch Loadiine from your browser, because I know you can use the Pro Controller to at least launch games through Loadiine.
 
You can run the kexploit with no gamepad.
But no loadiine without gamepad.
Loadiine uses Mii Maker to launch, Mii Maker needs gamepad to launch.
