Hello!
Can someone help me out with an issue I am having with the kernel exploit.
Whenever I boot a homebrew app through the kernel exploit (self hosted or using one of the web hosts) it just gets stuck at the white wiiu loading screen. Does anybody know how to fix this?

have you loaded the correct files in the proper order on the SD card? Also how long have you waited before considering it "stuck"?

the folder structure on the SD card should be wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/<files for hbl>

I have all of the files in the correct place and I have let it be stuck for more than an hour without it booting into HBL or loadiine

how big is the SD card that you're using? And what speed is it, anything under 10 should probably not be used because it's pathetically slow, but is fine for testing small things like the hbl or tiny homebrew apps

I have a 32gb class 10 from sandisk. I would try another SD if it wasn't full with 3DS stuff.

what format is the SD card in? it has to be formatted in fat32 to work properly, exFat seems to have issues/not work

also, stupid question, but are you using the kexploit10 or 31 before trying the hbl?

It is fat32 but I will try formatting on another PC and I have tried both exploits.

I don't really think the problem is in the SD card... Sincw you can't even get to load the hbl, I'd try clearing the cookies and data for the browser, then try accessing it again. Or maybe instead of self-hosting, try accessing the wiiubru site?

The SD card isn't the issue because I can use the exploit but the apps just dont open

As @Kafluke said: latest HBL rc3 ....

EDIT when Dimok gets time.

Ok this is interessting. It seems to affect only the PAL consoles. All the US console user reported the original RC3 package to be working correct. Maschell verified though that the RC3 package seems to be freezing for PAL. This issue causes the browser to freeze directly from what I understood on the mvplayer. Could be alignment issues of the SD loader code. I will need to run a few tests with someone on 5.5.x again. I will ask Maschell if he has some time to do it again. Any volunteers are welcome.

Problems with FSGetMountSource are not related to this. Those are issues with the SD card and actually mean that the exploit and launcher worked properly.

I will take a look at the freezing issue when I find the time again. Probably some time later today.

Yesterday I could launch it just fine, today it always give me white screen, not even white screen with the Wii U logo

Hi! (Long time lurker, thought I could give my two cents)

The constant white screen started happening to me last night, and I have been using http://loadiine.ovh/. When this started happening, they started using this new/ altered method to exploit Wii Us on 5.5.1. All I did was update to the latest Homebrew Loader nightly. It looks like updates are happening to these nightlies to support the new/ altered approach http://loadiine.ovh/ is using.

Yay! It worked, playing Lost Reavers with GameCube controller heh
Edit: the second and third time no luck, still white screen... 5.5.1 btw

Hmmm, weird. I've gotten the white screen today, but only once out of the 5 times I tried it... If I come across any other solutions I'll be sure to let you know.

Maybe the second and third tries may have been flukes?
