got a used DSi a few days ago, DSTwo just came in the mail. it boots fine. have not tried a game yet. my DSi is 1.2U, i got my DSTwo from a reputable american vendor and the tray inside the box says in sharpie pen "tested 10/3" ( the day i ordered it) do you think its safe to update? i do want to update, maybe even try zelda four swords. is that safe too?

it's always best to check the icon that comes up when you load up your dstwo on your system. Each update has a different boot-strap that will enable you to load it on the latest update. Put simply, flahscarts fake themselves as a legit game and whatever game was used to fake it becomes the icon.

That's all I can tell; I really don't know what the icon for the latest update is >_>
Maybe somebody else can help on this (seriously, somebody has to make a sticky with the icons of all boot-strap updates on every flashcart)

Also, I've heard that the dstwo has problems updating on a dsi/3ds and the dstwo team suggests using a ds/dsl

i guess itll be fine because its a brand new card tested few days ago. but ill wait till someone says so

Updating the DSTWO on a DSi is safe, on 3DS it's more tricky.
You should update it when a game comes along that doesn't load up.
Threads about how to update the DSTWO can be found in this forum and on the official Supercard sites as well.

yeah but someone posted today on their forums that they have new 1.4.3J... and they are blocked. is there an up to date thread on the very very latest firmware and if it works with DSTwo

If I remember, the 1.4.3 DSi update was released at the same time as the 3DS v2.1.0-3, so, if you just follow this guide, "How to update your DSTwo to work on a 3DS (Updated for 3DS v2.1.0-3)" you can then safely update you DSi afterwards.

the link is not dead

two files required are here

DSTWo EOS V1.11 http://down.supercard.cn/download/dstwo/DSTWO_v1.11_0723_eng.zip

update patch V1.12 http://down.supercard.sc/download/dstwo/Firmware/Firmware_v1.12_eng.zip

actually only the first one is required, and it's the same as the one i linked to but with a patch preapplied

the second one is only for 3ds compatibility, and it's not a simple matter of moving files to the flashcart and it immediately works
