Well actually it's because of this :

Dear ICHI-TEK,
Thank you for your email.
We actually had an upgrade release scheduled for last week, but
unfortunately the recent issues with cloned chips have caused a few
delays.
Because of the presence of low-quality cloned WiiKey chips in the
market, we have been inundated with bug reports which cannot be recreated
on genuine WiiKey chips. Because it is very difficult to tell which bug
reports relate to genuine WiiKey and which ones relate to fake/counterfeit
chips, this has slowed-down the bug fixing process significantly.
In addition, we also need to make sure that the new upgrade doesn't work
on these cloned chips, in order to give the best possible value to our
loyal customers.
The team are working as hard as they can under these difficult conditions
and hope to get an upgrade out very soon. However, at this moment, we can't
promise a specific date although news will be posted on
wiikey.cn as soon as we have any information.

I got mine from modchipstore.com, which is an official reseller, so I'm pretty sure it's no clone. It also cost too much, so it better be real.

So how do we know if we have a clone without opening it? I never saw my Wiikey cause I had a professional soldering it for me.

I have been beta-testing the SD dump app. It is much more stable than the version released by emu_kidid. There is a PC app included for formatting your card and moving the file back to PC in chunks, depending on the size of your card. It should be released in the next 24 hours.

There will be no updates available at this time, just the new config disc. The upgrade will be available in a couple of weeks. This will fix the Gamecube issues and will reportedly NOT work with clone chips.

Does this new version fix the problems with import games such as trauma center or is this only a fix for some gamecube games?

this is simply a config disk as stated it does not fix any games, the firmware update for the wiikey is to follow

The next patch will increase region free compatibility on all regions
The next patch will enable pal users to play trauma center(US region) and Bleach
Unfortunatly we havent found a way yet to make naruto work on NTSC-U consoles nor PAL consoles
And the Patch will be released next week

I doubt the official upgrade will be out for a bit though.
