Upon purchasing one of the latest flashcarts.
Do they leave logs of the illegitimate flashcard being used?
or does it register as another game. thanks

As long as you flash them with the latest update they will appear as other games.

However, they're Japanese games, so it's fairly obvious.

So far, the only cart that uses a Japanese game is the Acekard.

so seeing as most of us will play English games the best bet would to be to go for a cartridge that is known to "spoof" (not sure if that is the correct term)
either English games, or the exact game that is being "spoofed/emulated"

Sorry, I meant to put an AFAIK at the end of my post.

Not only is it logged, but it'll even show up in streetpass.
I came across someone who was using an R4DS Ultra.

I didn't even know there were flashcarts that could still use a non-spoofed name on the DSi/3DS.

Oh wow, that pretty much gives it away in a big way.

Like I always say, update your card first before using it (and after any 3DS update) and you won't have any problems. Unlike say, BFG who obviously tried it without updating it. Funny stuff there.

well guys i've another question.

I have a r4 III Revolution for the NDS
(can be found at http://www.r4dsl.net/index-en.asp)

since the last updated firmware for this card was 2010-05-14
it would seem they are not compatible with 3DS's and I don't wish to try it in my 3DS
with the risk of getting it logged and voiding the warranty.

My question is, am I able to run different firmwares on it, such as ones that would work o.o?

How would Nintendo log that someone is using a FC? Can't you just turn off WiFi whenever you use the cart?

can you delete it?

After seeing that, Nintendo has dispatched secret agents disguised as civilians in order to search for people using Illegal software by using the pass by function of the 3DS.
Upon being detected they will come inside your house and break your 3DS with a hammer

:fucking facepalm:

Sony would do that, not Nintendo.

Day 04:
The pursuers from nintendo are becoming more and more aggressive.
Today I will attempt to escape to Niigata by using 10 different train changes in order to confuse them, though the chances of success are very slim as I think they are increasing the number of the agents each day. I added magnetic coating to my 3DS in order to make it non-traceable by conventional radar systems though I can only sleep safely atop department stores where the use of other waves which camouflage my 3DS are used.
Now that I think of it, It all started that fated day where I went out with Pass by mode activated.
