Gaming Jtagging question.

so after selling my banned arcade, i've picked up another 360 off ebay, rrod mind you. and i plan to jtag it to get all that homebrew goodliness.

so after flashing the nand and installing everything, is it necessary to keep the soldered LPT cable inside? i don't see any reason why it would need to stay inside, but i'm just making sure.

No, you remove the lpt cable after a successful flash.

if you successfully do install xbr. you can remove it now.

ah ok cool. what about updating xbr? do you need to redo the entire process or is there a easier method now?

Before you might have needed something nowadays software based flashing methods work very well. Obviously keep the dumps you make in case you have to redo it but software has you covered.

if you use reboot then the resistors or diodes must stay.
