They lock better also, so if you ever had problems with a loose joycon, they will also fix it.

I actually never made any posts on here before, I should have, but I have a really slow internet connection and it makes it very hard to post videos and stuff.

The best part about this mod is, if you do it right, you press firmly to get into rcm, and softly to unlock the joycon, so it doesn't short the wires when you eject the controller.

lol you took my mod you butthole. Also, use another image site. imgur is blocking hotlinks. I changed the image in the quote to use imgbb instead (had to reupload). They'll show error boxes instead of images when your cache updates.

I did almost the same exact thing back in April and the metal buckle thingies were brought up then too.

It's a pretty good mod, both ideas together.

Not a bad idea. But then how will you eject remove the JoyCon? There's a piece that needs to be physically pressed up to allow removal. Unless you removed that piece?

Nope, I did not remove any piece. The wire I used is so thin that it is as though nothing is there.

You weren't very specific about what you did so I wasn't sure exactly how you bridged the pins. I thought maybe you had put an actual button there.
But you're just relying on the pressure of pressing the button to bridge the two wires?
How do you make sure the wires aren't accidentally bridged from moving or tilting the JoyCon though? That seems like it would be a problem.

I used UV glue which is super tight to glue 1 of the wires to the button, the other is just screwed on to the metal plate. So when I press the joycon eject button the wire will touch the metal plate.

Anyway since I am going to purchase alloy buckle locks recommended by @wicksand420 this shouldn't be a problem as I will just solder the wire directly to the alloy buckle lock.

I've been waiting for the perfect joycon mod and this looks like it may be it. Regarding the metal buckle locks, it looks as though the metal is in constant contact w/ the metal plate that bridges the wires. Is it not what it seems?

I cut out a small, thin, rectangle of plastic, and lined it up with the bottom of the metal bracket that holds the buckle down, and punched a hole through the small piece of rectangular plastic for the screw to go through.

Hey, can you make a bigger picture of how you glued the cable on the button? Also what thickness is your cable you are using?
