Having trouble sending codes into my copy of Hyrule Warriors (disc, version 1.8.0) using firmware 5.5.1

I've set up JGecko as per this guide:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/jgecko-u-setup-guide.426292/

It asks me for the game title and ID each time.

I enter Hyrule Warriors for title
00050000 1017D800 for the ID (exactly as shown)

I checked the Titles.xml to make sure the ID was correct, which it is.

JGecko connects no problem, so I test it using a Max Rupee code from here:
http://www.codemasters-project.net/...nwiiu/488-hyrule-warriors-ntsc-u-{disc-eshop}

Upon sending the code, nothing happens. No freeze, but no results

Well, I had try 5 WiiU game and JgeckoU never recognized any of my games. I had always left them empty and continue doing my stuff. Also I think the game and Id stuff is just to make it easy to save your cheat (organized by game) on that game every time you re-launch the apps. You can still save your cheat with empty field but all the cheat will be save all together.

Yeah, but the problem is that the cheats aren't doing anything. Are you able to try getting any cheats to work in HW? If so, can you post your source for the code?

I have disc 1.8.0 with 5.5.1 and it works fine for me. Make sure you are using 1.8.0 codes. You can find them in the hyrule warriors save file editing thread. For the exploit i use the loadiine.ovh website with kexploit + gecko installer.

When it asks for name and ID use
Hyrule Warriors
AMKE01 (this is for USA)

    Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

    Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
