A friend of mine found the source code of a Jazz Jackrabbit version for the PSP/PC.
It does still use the normal Jazz Jackrabbit files, but there's another file to start it.
It makes it run on OS' like XP en Vista.
So, now I was thinking, would it be possible to use that code, to make a boot.dol that reads al the original Jazz files so you can run it on the Wii?
If it would be possible (I think it is, because there's Jazz Jackrabbit for the PSP), then I will work on it.
But I'm only a starter, so all help will be much appreciated.

That "friend" as stated in Luigi728's post, am i.
I found a project called OpenJazz and was created by Alister, an fairly unknown Jazzer.
He seems to have pretty neat coding skills.
Anyways, lets get to the point.

We want to port Jazz1 to the Wii, but... we dont really have the C++ skillz to do so.

I found this a couple of months ago and mentioned it as a possibility for a DS port; nothing ever came of it though. It'd be pretty cool to see it ported to anything which I have access to really, so Wii would be fine by me.

Yeah, but we're still n00bs at C++, we are going to learn it, but still all help will be appreciated.

pretty cool, me myself just downloaded duke nukem 3d source, and im a noob myself, don`t know where to start cuz this is my first port. good luck with that jazz jackrabbit

That game is unplayable!! Did you even played the whole game without getting stuck on one of the levels!?

What the fuck are you on? The port needs work obviously (the fact that in wii-mote mode the controls are ridiculously stupid and the game bombs out if you let it sit at the title screen for too long among a few other things) but once you're in it it's more than playable. I've finished the first 2 epsidoes and have played around in the later episodes and hadn't had a single problem.
