anything can brick your wii if you don't know what are you doing, that's why a nand backup is the best idea ever.

Chances are extremely slim unless Trogdor the Burninator comes in and pours never-ending soda on it while it installs.

Basically, Priiloader can't really brick yyour Wii unless you really fudge things up (or intentionally try to brick)

From the syscheck you need to update the Homebrew Channel, install Priiloader, and update your cIOS's. And yes, you could do all that with ModMii, just follow what it tells you.
