Let's face it, the iSmart MM is the same price as the DS2.Gariscus said:Just because the theme plain you'll go with the DSTWO?Hyborix3 said:The iSmart MM theme looks plain so I'd rather go with the DS2![]()

From your post it seemed that the sole reason you'd buy a DSTWO over an iSMM is the default theme. Which would make no sense. You could make your own theme instead or perhaps(since they both have a similar menu) you could use the default DSTWO theme on the iSMM.Hyborix3 said:Let's face it, the iSmart MM is the same price as the DS2.Gariscus said:Just because the theme plain you'll go with the DSTWO?Hyborix3 said:The iSmart MM theme looks plain so I'd rather go with the DS2![]()

Oh and yeah I saw the cheap iSmart that cost like 3 bucks different than the DS2
So basically buying the DS2 with better theme isn't such a bad idea![]()

Another World said:you would be really surprised to find out who coded the menu then. you wouldn't have made that comment if you had access to real information not handed down on random web sites (including some gbatemp posts which are incorrect).
Weren't you the one who said something like that the iSmart Premium's issues were all software based, and not to think of it as a failure, as they're learning from their mistakes?
It's true that I don't know who coded the menu and everything, but I'm pretty sure most of the team is quite new to coding and software developing...
the problems with ismart cards has not been the hardware but the software. it will remain to be seen if they can continue support of their products. the team members i have talked to are very nice and have a vested interest in this hobby. it isn't right to make assumptions on this card for the first 6 months of its life.Another World said:thankfully many of us do not share your limited views. homebrew will always have a place as long as people have the systems to play with. i'm happy that there are still people who do not judge a system based on availability of pirated roms to play with. as long as this card is supported and the sdk is released there will be people who will have an interest in supporting it. i've already spoken to some developers who are interested in porting exclusive homebrew to the ismart mm, depending on how well written the sdk is.
What I meant was that
1. Because they're new, they don't have the proper support.
2. They do not have the trust of the consumers, especially after their 1st card wasn't so good.
3. Most people already own a flashcart, and wouldn't want to waste more money on a new one - though I guess the same could be said to any flashcart.
That's why it was a mistake to launch a flashcart so late in the systems life...
Just to make it clear though - I DO NOT judge a system by the availability to pirate on it.
I still have 15 original DS games, which I'm happy with them, and I have 20 GBA carts.
I plan to get the 3DS at launch too, I couldn't care less whether it's hacked or not.

After reading this, it's a -1 for me..sorry mbmaxQUOTE said:the ismart mm has a slower cpu more like the iplayer. cpu to card to slot1 already has a 50% data throughput loss, the slower cpu will probably impact what possible cpu based homebrew can be developed.

The iSmart MM has 32MB RAM.Etalon said:? I'm confused now.
I thought the iPlayer MM has 32 MB like the DSTwo.
But now you're saying - - the iPlayer is exactly the same as the iPlayer (?) - 16 MB?

I don't mean to be rude, but with the amount of blatant copying going on in the history of flash carts I have a very hard time believing that this is an original cartridge and worth investing in, especially if its hardware is based on the iPlayer.
There is 32MB of RAM on the iSMM (Zentel A3V56S40ETP). It was confirmed by Xenon++ and Alfadir when they received their sample last month.Etalon said:? I'm confused now.

To answer myself to this question, the iPlayer got also 32MB of SDRAM.Mbmax said:Wait. I never checked the PN at Winbond website because i always thought the iPlayer got only 16MB of RAM.
It's just me or the Winbond W9825G6EH is a 256mb (32MB) memory ?![]()
