Hi,
So last week I installed A9LH on my second 3DS that still was on 4.5 with Gateway (Didn't do it before because I let my sister use it, and she isn't tech savy so she wouldn't manage to install A9LH herself probably).
However, when I did, I noticed the guide was extreamly different than what it was a bunch of months ago when I did my first 3DS A9LH installation. (at that point I think A9LH was still quite new and a lot of people were still using RXTools)
As of now, both 3DS are on latest 11.2 version with Luma 6.5. However, when I power on the one I did months ago, I see the screen powering on for a very short time, then turn back off, and on again when the home menu loads. The one I did recently doesn't do that. I think the A9LH on the first one is an old version that does screen-init and the one I did recently has the current version that doesn't do that.
But other than that (and diffrent version of luma updater on the older install, but that's just as simple as installing the new .CIA) both 3DS seam to act the same.
So other than no screen-init, is there any differance in the newer version that makes it worth updating ? I don't plan on installing SDLess A9LH, just the one used in the actual version of the guide.
The old guide made us backup less files that the new one, but I think the only file that matters for A9LH update on O3DS's is OTP.bin and I still have that along with the original nand backup I made back then, so the update process souldn't be a problem, it's just that I don't realy want to do it if it isn't usefull.
Is there a risk that in the future new versions of luma will stop working with old versions of A9LH ?
Toughts ?
