do you want fun features like in-game guides, slow-motion, a real time cheat finder, a movie player, and a pdf reader? do you want exclusive emulation like gba, snes, mame4all, and atari?

if you don't care about those type of extras, if you only game and play with homebrew, then you won't get anything new out of a scds2. but if you want the extras then yes, it is worth the extra money.

there is an exclusive gbatemp edition, limited to 200 pieces, if you are in the mood to try and track one down. =P

Hey Another World what's Slow-Motion do and if i wanna do homebrew & emulation i need a DSTWO?

Back in the day when i used to have a DS Lite with a M3 DS Simply it used to handle emulation/homebrew pretty well.

I will be using the card with a 3DS XL by the way.

slow-motion runs games in "slow motion". i find it rather useless. the last time i enjoyed slow motion was on my NES with a controller that spammed the pause button.

the scds2 has exclusive emulation that other kits don't. this is because of its onboard cpu and ram. all other ds-mode emulation and homebrew will function on other flash kits, with the akaio kernel being the best. mostly because i made sure everything worked on it when normmatt as actively developing it.

here is some more info for you:

shano,if you think the extra features(rts and the gba emulator) provided by dstwo is necessary for you, you can go for it at almost 35 usd.
If you just want to run ds roms and homebrew on your 3ds, r4i gold 3ds(r4ids.cn) is enough for you at almost 15 usd.Because this card can also release the updating patch as fast as dstwo and is officially supported by wood, which can make you play all games released recently.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
