I google something along the lines of "Lost Winds wad"

It was fake. It never existed. It was a hoax.

And besides, even it was true, you would be ripping people out of money they spent for points that they cannot use. (Same thing can be said towards the developers if installed via Wad Method).

You wouldnt like it if you spent money on something only to have it already been used and not redeemable. Products of that type cant be returned or exchanged.

And while I do actually condone piracy and I have an argument against what I am about to say...I will play a devil's advocate role and say: So it's okay to steal from a developing or publishing company but not okay to steal from an individual person? Just because they are a corporation doesn't make the theft any less of an offense.

WADs, in essence, are channels. Doesn't matter if it's WiiWare, VC, or other... they're channels.

Not all wads are channels though.

- IOS / cIOS
- System Menu
- BC
- MIOS

Messing with the above could lead to a brick.

What if someone were to blatantly rename a System Menu / IOS wad into a VC/WiiWare wad?

And then you get the message "System Files are corrupt"

So naturally, you would uninstall said wad via preloader / savemii...

It is the internets...

I know, right? Tagg, it's better for him to be taught how to use WADs rather than to have him end up with a helpless brick.
However illegal some points of it may be, homebrew channels and certain cIOSes are fine.

If your installing wads make sure that preloader is installed. That way if you brick, recovery will be no problem.

The Unlimited Wii Points hack still exist and works, but is fully illegal,
i had used it sometimes to fake ~1.000.000 Wii Points, Nintendo banned me for this XD

the trick is very simple, because nintendo can't code some security inside there systems,
a faked(!!!) creditcard works on the wii shop, (when CVV2 is a good faked)
there system doen't even checks if your card is real, or if money is on the card,
it checks only if the card matches date and cvv2.
