So, I have a list of several hundred YouTube videos that I have been meaning to download for ages - as lots of stuff gets taken off due to accounts being deleted, individual vids taken off service etc.

What I'd like to know is if there is a piece of software where I can import a txt file, or cut & paste a list of YouTube links into and just let it download the lot?

Many thanks, have been looking for an answer for years without joy!

Solution
JDownloader. Just copy the links and it should list them in the Linkgrabber automatically.

It'll even give you the choice of downloading it in either flv or mp4 at whatever resolutions the video supports.

JDownloader is your Friend.

"JDownloader is open source, platform independent and written completely in Java. It simplifies downloading files from One-Click-Hosters like Rapidshare.com or Megaupload.com - not only for users with a premium account but also for users who don't pay. It offers downloading in multiple paralell streams, captcha recognition, automatical file extraction and much more. Of course, JDownloader is absolutely free of charge. Additionally, many "link encryption" sites are supported - so you just paste the "encrypted" links and JD does the rest. JDownloader can import CCF, RSDF and the new DLC files."
