Games like Rayman and Mega Man X3 freeze at the start, and games like Dead or Alive have no music.

I've never had a PS1 game freeze though are you accessing Retroarch through nsp by holding R to give yourself full Ram and also overclocking in Retroarch?

I load Retroarch through the HBG NSP.
