is the i7 8705G overclockable?

    i am thinking of purchasing the hades canyon nuc with the 8705g i would like to know if i can overclock

    I don't THINK so, but it does turbo up to 4.1GHz on its own already

    it was on some dell forum i think. google really doesnt help. but it would make more sense if it was the other way around

    That's really what I was thinking, I'd imagine that the Vega graphics could probably be taken up using Afterburner or Trixx, but I've yet to see any documentation saying the CPU is overclockable. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist, I just haven't personally seen any

    I don’t get how a NUC would be overclockable, the form factor doesn’t have the cooling to support higher clocks.

    the form factor can support a 100w processor just fine. im thinking if i get the 65w version i could have more headroom

    Update: I bought the PC and the cpu is overclockable to what extent I don’t know and I have not yet tested the graphics
